Tiznow Colt Completes ‘Conquest’ of Keeneland Maiden Events

CONQUEST WINDYCITY (c, 2, Tiznow–Lasting Appeal, by A.P. Indy) graduated in his third career start, completing a two-for-two sweep of both juvenile maiden races for this owner-trainer combination. The $320,000 FTKOCT yearling turned $800,000 OBSMAR purchase improved his position to finish second on debut going 1 1/16 miles over the lawn at Saratoga Aug. 8 and made his next start in Churchill’s GIII Iroquois S. over this same trip Sept. 12, finishing fourth behind Cocked and Loaded (Colonel John) after encountering trouble on the backstretch. Bet down to 6-5 favoritism, he saved ground in the early stages and angled out in search of clearer sailing on the far turn. Steadily advancing into the lane, he rallied to the front and held Donegal Moon (Malibu Moon) safe by 3/4 of a length to earn the victory. The winner’s dam, a half to GSW & GISP sire Jump Start (A.P.
